Les Veloistes Gentils cycling jerseys

Les Veloistes Gentiles are a group of friends who ride together round France periodically. This year they took on the Pyrenees, including the Tourmalet. A great idea if you can convince some more sap to follow you round in a truck with your bags in the back.

If you have never taken on some proper cycling mountains in the Alps or Pyrenees, you have to go one day. I think a lot of riders think they will never make it up, given the kind of rides they normally train on, but my experience of working as a guide in some big mountains is that it is astounding what a bit of application and a very small gear can do for you when faced with the steep stuff. There are now lots of organisations which also organise these kind of trips such as Veloventoux and Pyractif which can make sure your trip runs smoothly.

Help for Heroes Custom cycling jerseys

We were very proud to supply 1000 jerseys to Help for Heroes for their annual charity ride round the battle fields of Northern France, having already supplied them for their first ride in 2008. We suply quite a large number of charity cycling jerseys, but this has to be one of the most deserving causes.

Custom cycling kit for Russia

We are very proud to have our first Russian client for custom cycling clothing, Skisport, in St Petersburg. We now sell kit all round the world, including the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, France, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, Norway and Holland – we do not use distributors, but sell directly from Portugal, so cutting out the middle man and the 30% margin they stick on top!

Wheelworx custom ladies tri suits

We have been supplying Wheelworx in Dublin with custom cycling and tri clothing for 3 years now – as well as being Dublin’s leading triathlon shop, they are also one of the leading tri teams in Ireland.

They are having a fantastic season and have just had a one, two in the female Triathy Olympic distance, with Aileen Morrison winning and Elena Maslova coming second. You can see Aileen above in T2 wearing our new custom female trisuit.

Elena obviously hadn’t had sufficient work out, so after the race she had a couple of Powerbars, towelled herself down and jumped back in the water to win the Sprint distance. She would probably have run the 80 kms back to Dublin after sinking a couple of pints to celebrate her victory if they hadn’t bundled her into the van…..

Our lead times and holidays

We work very hard to be the custom cycling and triathlon supplier with the shortest lead times in the industry, normally working off 4 weeks. In recent months we have had unprecedented demand for our kit however and our lead times have been stretched to 7 or 8 weeks – we completely understand that many clubs need their kit quicker than this, but we just cannot make the kit any faster!

We are now putting in place plans to substantially increase our production capacity so that next Easter/Summer we will be able to manage the peak demand better.

To compound the problem further, in Portugal everything closes down in August, including our factory, so this will add a further 2 to 3 weeks on lead times for kit order before the holidays.

We are meeting the delivery dates that we have given to clients at the time of order, so clients are not getting their kit late. We like to think our kit is worth waiting for, but we hope to be back to 4 week lead times come September.
